Monitor/Aide Role
As a Monitor/Aide, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our students while on board our buses. Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring the route and ensuring the welfare of passengers
- Communicating with drivers and school personnel regarding student behavior and bus conditions
- Assisting with pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus
- Helping students load and unload the bus
- Cooperating with school staff, students, and parents
- Attending safety and training meetings
- Conducting emergency evacuations and using emergency exits
- Cleaning the bus interior
- Assisting drivers with reversing the bus
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Good verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Early morning availability
- Judgement and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage high levels of stress
