In the role of Retail Store Leadership Associate, your primary focus will be on recruiting, developing, and retaining outstanding talent that will create an inspiring shopping atmosphere where our guests feel empowered to personalize their spaces. You will represent the Frontgate brand at every guest interaction, ensuring that your remarkable team embodies our values, standards, and experiences. Your energetic leadership will propel company initiatives, boost sales, and position your store to surpass all expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and prioritize multiple objectives effectively.
  • Exemplify strong leadership on the sales floor to drive results; ensure guests are engaged and that visual merchandising consistently reflects the Frontgate experience.
  • Possess a solid understanding of operational responsibilities, demonstrating effective guest engagement and visual presentation skills.
  • Ensure brand and operational standards consistently meet or exceed expectations to uphold brand integrity.
  • Analyze store metrics and team performance to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels to meet store demands.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including HR policies and legal requirements.
  • Foster positive relationships with the Store Manager, team members, and brand partners to clarify priorities and share insights.
  • Manage payroll effectively to optimize productivity and achieve sales goals.
  • Provide strong leadership to execute sales strategies and operational functions, ensuring guest satisfaction and maximum profitability.
  • Actively network, interview, hire, and onboard top talent.
  • Deliver comprehensive training for Sales Associates, focusing on product knowledge and the unique benefits of our offerings.
  • Oversee the performance of Sales Associates, providing ongoing feedback and coaching.
  • Encourage a respectful and inclusive environment for all team members.
  • Educate the team on building guest loyalty through in-store programs and community outreach initiatives.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Preferred college degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of management experience in the specialty retail sector is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Taleo, Kronos, and POS systems.
  • Strong communication, delegation, follow-up, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Open-minded and eager to learn new skills and adapt to innovative approaches.
  • Capable of being mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able to lift and move medium to large items, up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional travel may be required to support new store openings.
  • Comfortable with climbing ladders and maintaining a positive demeanor.
  • Consistently demonstrate friendliness and a welcoming attitude in a guest-centric environment.
