About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Project Engineer II / Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Columbus, OH. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects, with the first assignment being an airport project. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager in overseeing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from planning and scheduling to execution and closeout.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met and quality standards are maintained.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including RFI's, submittals, and change orders.
  • Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective project delivery.
  • Develop and update project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to deadlines.
  • Ensure all work complies with project specifications, building codes, and safety standards.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any concerns and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Qualifications
  • 25 years of established experience in project management, preferably with a mechanical contractor.
  • A 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field is preferred. HVAC/Plumbing experience working for a mechanical contracting company or through internship experience is highly valued.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
