Overview

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist in our Critical Access Hospital, you will be exposed to various settings, including emergency departments, acute care, swing bed surgery, outpatient treatment, and more.

In this role, you will provide high-quality respiratory care through demonstration of knowledge and application of advanced techniques, including HHN, CPT, IPPB, CPAP, BiPAP, Apnea Monitoring, Aerosol Therapy, Medication Administration, Oxygen Therapy, and Invasive and Non-Invasive Mechanical Ventilation to patients in alternative care settings.

You will communicate effectively with allied health professionals and physicians involved in patient care, ensuring seamless coordination and optimal outcomes.

Earn an estimated $70,000 - $90,000 per year, eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus**.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient education on the proper use and maintenance of home respiratory care equipment.
  • Conduct routine and emergent home visits to address compliance and education concerns.
  • Coordinate patient care through phone calls with patients, referral sources, and physicians.
  • Comply with patient care and documentation procedures to ensure patient protection and safety.
  • Monitor patients for compliance with physician prescriptions and understanding of equipment and supplies.
  • Provide invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation services.

Qualifications:

Required Education:
• Graduate of an approved Respiratory Care Program
• Successfully obtained Registration as a Respiratory Therapist
• Licensed by the state of North Dakota to practice Respiratory Care
• Valid Class D driver's license and good driving record

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Self-directed with ability to manage multiple tasks
• Basic mechanical and computer aptitude required
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work harmoniously with physicians and the general public
• Discipline to actively listen to customers' needs and take responsibility to address those needs
• Thrives in a fast-paced work environment
• Valid Class D driver's license and good driving record
