Ambitious Climate Partnership Specialist

The New Orleans Community Support Foundation is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Outreach and Partnership Fellow.
About the PositionThis exciting opportunity is part of the NOAA Coastal Resilience Fellowship Program, supporting the Climate Resilience Regional Challenge (CRRC) projects. As a fellow, you will support the EMPOWER project, focusing on outreach and partnership building in the Greater New Orleans region.
Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate collaboration among diverse stakeholders, including vendors, nonprofit leaders, board and committee members, and foundation partners. You will work closely with the Tulane ByWater Institute fellow to promote the use of the Regional Knowledge and Data Directory.
We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, commitment to promoting environmental justice, racial equity, and community-led climate solutions, and experience in providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
About UsThe New Orleans Community Support Foundation is a dynamic organization that envisions a region with equitable climate adaptation and mitigation projects. We aim to establish strong partnerships between government, business, and nonprofits that effectively center those most impacted by planning decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Research best practices and messaging for general education and promotion of equitable and resilient green infrastructure.
- Facilitate accessibility and use of the Regional Knowledge and Data Directory.
- Support facilitation of the communications subcommittee, a major element of the regional resilience collaborative.
- Provide support for full collaborative meetings, including room design and setup, materials development, A/V support, facilitation, etc.
- Develop and maintain the project website, produce regular correspondence, and create multimedia approaches to outreach and storytelling.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 1-2 years professional experience in strategic communications and marketing.
- Demonstrated cultural competence and commitment to promoting environmental justice and racial equity.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Microsoft Office.
- Annual salary: $42,000.
