The Cleaning Services position provides the cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area at the airport.
Key Responsibilities:- Clean and maintain buildings and facilities to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
- Follow established procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent accidents and damage.
- Notify management of any minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems to ensure timely maintenance.
- Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, colleagues, and management to ensure a positive work environment.
- Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures to ensure a secure and efficient work environment.
- Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Move furniture and equipment to clean areas to ensure efficient cleaning and maintenance.
- Clean interior partition glass, windows, and mirrors to maintain a clean and transparent workspace.
- Wash and replace blinds to ensure a clean and well-maintained workspace.
- Gather and empty trash to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
- Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow, or perform other incidental seasonal tasks to maintain a clean and well-maintained outdoor space.
- Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas to maintain a clean and sanitary workspace.
- Service, clean, and supply restrooms to ensure a clean and well-maintained bathroom area.
- Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays, to ensure 24/7 coverage.
- Previous janitorial or cleaning experience is preferred, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean environment are essential for this role.
- Must meet all requirements to receive the required airport SIDA badge and Customs Seal.
