About the Role

VCA Animal Hospitals is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Veterinarian to join our team at our Orange County Veterinary Specialists location. As a member of our emergency and critical care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our specialists to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide emergency and critical care to patients, including triage, stabilization, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions
  • Work collaboratively with our specialists to ensure comprehensive care and develop treatment plans for patients
  • Participate in rounds and contribute to the development of patient care plans
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and advancements in emergency and critical care
  • Communicate effectively with clients, referring veterinarians, and other healthcare professionals
Requirements
  • DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary program
  • Current veterinary license in the state of California
  • Experience in emergency and critical care, preferably in a veterinary hospital setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
