Role Summary:

The Senior Technical Operations Lead will oversee core technical support for Crew Operations Digital Technology Systems. This role involves guiding team members through technical challenges, including design and programming tasks. The lead will articulate new solutions and processes, ensuring a comprehensive delivery strategy with the necessary technical safeguards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert knowledge in Tibco and Java, with a preference for Kafka, AWS, and ODM. Collaborate with other Digital Technology teams for application updates and system enhancements.
  • Mentor and guide both employees and contractors towards technical excellence, focusing on professional development and training strategies.
  • Conduct system monitoring, testing, and integration assessments for Core Support modifications.
  • Maintain overall technical accountability, ensuring high-quality and sustainable deliverables through collaboration with various teams. Validate technical challenges and seek opportunities for improvement.
  • Act as the liaison between the technical team and management, effectively communicating progress, risks, and solutions. Lead Incident Management discussions, providing essential guidance for troubleshooting within the Crew Operations Digital Technology team.
  • Assist the Core Support Team and Program Manager in project strategy and execution.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in operational support.
  • 2+ years of experience in full-cycle implementation.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across various teams.
  • Proficiency in Tibco, Kafka, AWS, Java, and ODM.
  • Capacity to work within defined constraints.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science.
  • Experience with Kafka/Spark, ODM, and Angular.
  • Background in the airline industry.
  • AWS or other Cloud Certifications.
  • Ability to motivate and encourage team members, especially under pressure.
  • Commitment to adhering to project and company standards.
  • Inspire team members to deliver top-tier core support.
