About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer to assist project teams in creating world-class designs for various projects, including power, process, corporate, healthcare, airports, institutional, industrial, manufacturing, government, and military facilities. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will work closely with project teams throughout the design and construction process, adapting electrical plans according to budget constraints, design factors, or client needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, practices, codes, and procedures, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will be responsible for designing electrical components for project needs and requirements, researching and compiling project-related data, correcting and updating drawings, and assisting with client presentations, shop drawing reviews, and contract administration.

Responsibilities
  • Design electrical systems for various projects, including power plants, process facilities, industrial facilities, healthcare facilities, airports, educational institutions, commercial, and governmental and military facilities
  • Work with project teams to adapt electrical plans according to budget constraints, design factors, or client needs
  • Design electrical components for project needs and requirements
  • Research and compile project-related data
  • Correct and update drawings provided by senior engineers
  • Assist with client presentations, shop drawing reviews, and contract administration
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program
  • Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of standard electrical engineering techniques, principles, and procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including electrical analysis programs (e.g., RISA), AutoCAD, BIM (e.g., Revit and Tekla), and Microsoft Office Suite
