Emergency Department Clinical Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Emergency Department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will contribute to the creation of a caring and supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues.

About the Role:

  • Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and special tests, and documents treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
  • Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
  • Assesses and evaluates patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
  • Applies sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
  • Provides primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Administers over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
  • Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
  • Directs and guides ancillary personnel and maintains standards of professional nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of New York.
  • Experience working in an Emergency Department or critical care setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this role is $43.50-$48.50 per hour. Albany Medical Center offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and continuing education opportunities.
