Accountant II Job Description

US Oncology Network-wide Career Opportunities is seeking a highly skilled Accountant II to join our team. As an Accountant II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting for our oncology practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain general ledger, including preparing financial schedules, writing journal entries, and ensuring accurate coding.
  • Process monthly close of all practices and management companies in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring accruals are appropriately made each month.
  • Work with the Controller and management to obtain all necessary information and explanations, ensuring compliance with Management Services Agreements for all practices.
  • Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly and supported by valid detail, reviewing monthly reporting packages for accuracy, reasonableness, and completeness.
  • Provide various practice-specific reporting as requested by the Controller, ensuring accuracy and completeness of fixed assets records, including depreciation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business curriculum.
  • Minimum two to five years of fiscal management experience, with prior healthcare experience preferred.
  • CPA certification is a plus.
Work Environment:

The work environment is an office setting, with frequent interaction with staff, patients, and the public. The physical demands of the job include standing/sitting for extensive periods, lifting/carrying items weighing up to 40 lbs, and requiring corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
