- Assess the condition of patients' eyes by examining pupils, muscle function, visual acuity, and blood pressure.
- Prepare patients for eye examinations by administering pupil dilation and summarizing patient history, including any changes in visual acuity or blood pressure.
- Facilitate office procedures to optimize the ophthalmologist's time, including assisting with laser surgeries and other treatments.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and secure medical records by adhering to proper documentation and coding practices.
- Provide patient education regarding physician's orders, medications, and surgical procedures.
- Coordinate surgical appointments by liaising with surgical centers and preparing necessary documentation.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following established protocols and legal regulations.
- Manage inventory by keeping track of supplies and placing orders as needed.

Diagnostic Equipment and Procedures:
Experience with photography, digital imaging, and visual field testing.
Clinical Expertise:
Knowledge in managing conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, macular diseases, vascular disorders, infectious retinal diseases, and inherited retinal conditions.
