Objective:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the condition of patients' eyes by examining pupils, muscle function, visual acuity, and blood pressure.

  • Facilitate office procedures to optimize the ophthalmologist's time, including assisting with laser surgeries and other treatments.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and secure medical records by adhering to proper documentation and coding practices.
  • Provide patient education regarding physician's orders, medications, and surgical procedures.
  • Coordinate surgical appointments by liaising with surgical centers and preparing necessary documentation.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following established protocols and legal regulations.
  • Manage inventory by keeping track of supplies and placing orders as needed.
