This role necessitates a certification as a Dietetic Technician or a Certified Dietary Manager. Candidates should be prepared to work on weekends and some holidays, and assist the culinary team during evening service.
It is essential for candidates to be fully vaccinated or in the process of vaccination to be eligible for this position. POSITION OVERVIEW
As a vital member of a dedicated care team, the nutritional services clerk will support patients/residents with their menu choices, maintain serveries, and input dietary information into the system. This role is crucial and must be executed in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, as well as the organization's established dietary policies and procedures. Reports directly to the Manager/Director of Food and Nutrition Services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prioritize tasks effectively to ensure timely completion of duties.
- Review units daily for diet slips and menus.
- Input dietary information for newly admitted patients/residents and update changes for current individuals.
- Restock serveries as needed.
- Distribute weekly menus to all patients/residents for the upcoming week and assist them with their meal selections.
- Generate a daily patient/resident listing for the culinary staff.
- Prepare menus for the following day and organize them appropriately.
- Tally and update completed menus, including late submissions.
- Verify that all menus are returned by comparing them to the patient/resident listing and assist with any missing submissions.
- Make necessary adjustments to menus and in the system.
- Assist on the meal line as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Student, High School Graduate, or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience: No prior experience is required; training will be provided.
Attendance: Must be able to work scheduled shifts and demonstrate commitment to the team and residents.
