**Job Summary:**

The Pastry Packing Specialist is responsible for ensuring the efficient packaging and storage of finished pastry products for dispatch to our stores. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Packaging finished pastry products in a freezer environment, maintaining a safe and sanitary work area.
  • Assisting in the preparation of quality pastry items according to company standards and recipes.
  • Reviewing quality assurance for all pastry items being dispatched to stores, adhering to high-quality standards.
  • Organizing and managing stocks in storage units and freezers, rotating bulk pastry items according to FIFO guidelines.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of storage units and freezers, and assisting with other duties as assigned by Commissary/Pastry Management.

**Requirements:**

  • Ability to work in a team environment and have a can-do attitude.
  • Availability to work shifts of 8am or 5pm, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, ranging from 35F to -05F.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs, and push or pull up to 150lbs during the shift.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.

**Education and Experience:**

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months experience working in high-volume food production packaging items preferred.
