Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Affairs Consultant to join our team at Adtalem Global Education. As a key member of our Regulatory Affairs department, you will play a critical role in ensuring our institutions operate in compliance with federal and state regulations and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced regulatory expertise and guidance to support the development of compliant strategies and processes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to ensure regulatory requirements are met and internal policies are aligned.
  • Represent Regulatory Affairs in institution meetings, providing regulatory guidance and recommendations for programs and initiatives.
  • Communicate new and upcoming regulatory requirements to colleagues, ensuring timely adjustments to policy and procedures.
  • Support business, Audit Services, and auditing entities with external and internal audits, including corrective action plan development and implementation.
  • Lead Regulatory Affairs team efforts on complex projects, demonstrating ownership of regulatory compliance for funding programs.
  • Collaborate with institutional colleagues to secure and manage funding eligibility for new programs and locations.
  • Assist the Regulatory Affairs Director with escalated questions and projects, acting as a delegate in their absence.
  • Monitor and approve revisions to financial aid-related written policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current federal and state regulations.
  • Prepare and deliver issue summaries and presentations to senior management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 6 years of experience in a federal/state regulated environment, with higher education financial aid regulatory compliance experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Excel, Teams, and internet applications.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, critical thinking, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, creative problem-solver, flexible with shifting priorities.
  • Consistently demonstrates a great work ethic in a high-productivity environment.
Desired Additional Knowledge
  • Familiarity with Title IV rules for proprietary institutions, both domestic and foreign.
  • Understanding of Title IV treatment for various program structures.
  • Experience with financial aid-related audit support activities.
  • Knowledge of military-related funding programs, such as Veterans Benefits and Dept of Defense.
