Welder Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Pipe Fitter to join our team at Midwest Petroleum Equipment LLC in Lincoln, NE. As a key member of our construction and installation team, you will be responsible for installing above and underground petroleum storage tanks, piping, pumps, hoists, lifts, and other related equipment.

About the Role

This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday with a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $70,000 per year, commensurate with experience and certifications. Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include measuring, laying out, hanging, threading pipe, soldering/brazing pipe, setting mechanical equipment, operating various power tools, skid loaders, air compressors, forklifts, excavators, and other related tools and equipment. You must be able to interpret blueprints, specifications, and other project documents. We prefer candidates with recent experience in welding, fabricating, and pipefitting, as well as AWS certification. You must also be at least 18 years old, have a high school or GED level education, and a valid driver's license.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 1-year experience in general construction, plumbing, mechanical, or underground utility-related fields. You should be able to work outdoors and occasionally travel to out-of-town job sites. A background check and drug screening will be required.
