Position Overview:

As a Controls Integration Engineer, you will be at the forefront of integrating control systems within our manufacturing processes. Your role will focus on enhancing system interoperability and ensuring effective communication between various machinery and equipment. Your contributions will be crucial in driving productivity, reliability, and quality in our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **System Integration:** Lead the integration of control systems for both new and existing machinery, ensuring seamless communication and compatibility.
2. **Collaboration:** Partner with internal teams and external suppliers to guarantee the successful integration of diverse control systems.
3. **PLC and HMI Coordination:** Oversee PLC programming and HMI integration to develop cohesive control interfaces that enhance operational efficiency.
4. **Testing and Validation:** Execute comprehensive testing and validation of integrated systems to confirm functionality and compliance with specifications.
5. **Optimization and Troubleshooting:** Identify areas for efficiency improvements and resolve integration challenges to minimize operational downtime.
6. **Documentation:** Maintain detailed records of integrated systems, configurations, and troubleshooting protocols.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in controls integration or a comparable role within a manufacturing setting, ideally in the packaging sector.
  • Proficient in PLC programming and HMI integration (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens) to facilitate effective control system integration.
  • Strong knowledge of control system architectures, networking protocols, and industrial communication standards (such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
  • Skilled in troubleshooting integrated control systems and resolving compatibility issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and effective collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with internal teams and external partners.
