Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Obstetrics team at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center. As a Staff RN - Obstetrics, you will provide high-quality patient care, coordinate care planning with other disciplines, and work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and supervise nursing care of OB patients and their newborns, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all.
  • Coordinate with LPNs to provide comprehensive care and promote a positive patient experience.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with physicians, patients, and families, communicating clearly and empathetically to address their needs and concerns.
  • Evaluate patients on admission, assess their needs throughout their hospital stay, and update care plans accordingly.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to take an active role in their care and well-being.
  • Participate in committees and projects aimed at improving nursing care and patient outcomes, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and continuous learning.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest obstetric and neonatal care practices, attending educational programs and workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current RN license in the state of Arkansas.
  • Two years of experience in nursing practice, preferably in obstetrics or a related field.
  • BLS certification and ACLS certification with 8-hour OB modification.
  • Neonatal resuscitation and AWHONN fetal monitoring certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality patient care and a passion for continuous learning and professional growth.
