Key Responsibilities:
  • Member Experience:
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance member satisfaction and retention.
    • Ensure seamless front desk operations, including member check-ins, new member sign-ups, and tour facilitation.
    • Address member requests, issues, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of Assistant General Managers, Front Desk Associates, and Fitness Trainers.
    • Lead by example, maintaining a positive and motivating work environment.
    • Administer employee timesheets, resolve issues, and manage corrective action/termination activities.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance:
    • Oversee facility cleanliness and maintenance, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for members and staff.
    • Manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) platform.
    • Determine and communicate equipment repair needs in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of supervisor or manager experience in a high-volume atmosphere or 2 years of Planet Fitness experience.
  • Comfortable working a flexible rotating schedule.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel).
  • A High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • A Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of supervisor or manager experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel to other clubs as needed.
  • Current CPR Certification required or willingness to get certified upon hire.
Physical Requirements:

The employee must be able to talk and hear, sit, stand, and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel. Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 75 pounds.
