Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Rehabilitation Support & Durable Medical Equipment Specialist to join our team at Kintegra Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in assisting participants with therapy-directed maintenance programs, including range of motion, walking, restorative dining, and exercise programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist participants with therapy-directed maintenance programs, including range of motion, walking, restorative dining, and exercise programs.
- Report noted changes in participants' function and mobility to therapy staff.
- Complete appropriate documentation promptly as outlined in the STLC documentation guideline.
- Prepare treatment areas, selecting, setting up, and maintaining supplies and equipment for assessment and treatment visits during the day as directed by therapy staff.
- Assist with pick-up and delivery of DME, supplies, and miscellaneous items as directed.
- Drive all vehicles included in the organization's transportation fleet, with the understanding that you may drive any type of vehicle on the instruction of the Transportation Coordinator and/or designee.
- Work closely with the Transportation Coordinator and/or DME Supervisor, or designee, to arrange delivery of DME otherwise not delivered by contracted vendors.
- Complete inventory management tasks related to DME purchasing and rentals.
- Assist with the organization and cleaning of DME at STLC and the STLC storage facility.
- Support Kintegra Health's mission to encourage and support the quality of life of seniors wishing to continue living in the community, its vision to be the preferred provider of individualized care for seniors in the community, and its values of respect, integrity, accountability, compatible goals, and compassionate care.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree preferred, high school diploma or GED minimum.
- At least 1 year of experience working with the frail elderly population.
- Valid NC driver's license with a good driving record and a minimum of no major moving violations.
- Knowledge and skills necessary to provide customer service to participants and other training as required by the department.
- Immunizations: be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up to date before engaging in direct participant contact.
