Job Summary:

Medpace, a leading full-service clinical contract research organization (CRO), is seeking a highly skilled Security Officer to join its Facilities team. This role will play a critical part in maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. If you have a strong background in security and a passion for delivering exceptional service, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and report on daily surveillance activities and significant incidents to the Security Supervisor.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the campus, adhering to established security protocols, to maintain order and presence.
  • Review surveillance cameras to identify potential disruptions or unlawful activities.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, investigating and assessing the situation to ensure the safety of individuals and assets.
  • Ensure all exits, doors, and windows are secured after operations have concluded.
  • Authorize and monitor vehicles and individuals entering the property.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of security equipment, including traffic cones, air compressors, battery chargers, and other essential tools.
  • Collaborate with local authorities to remove trespassers or wrongdoers from the premises when necessary.
  • Provide assistance to employees and visitors as needed, promoting a culture of safety and respect.
  • Communicate facilities-related matters and concerns to management in a timely and professional manner.
  • Complete all assigned safety and training programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Document all incidents and activities during shifts in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
  • Exhibit the highest levels of professional conduct and customer service, demonstrating a friendly and approachable demeanor at all times.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous security experience is highly desirable.
  • Current and valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, potentially involving climbing stairs and ladders.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow procedures and protocols as directed by work orders, peers, and supervisors.
  • Working knowledge of basic computer skills, Microsoft Office, and electronic work order systems.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, exercising sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with employees and external parties as necessary.
  • Knowledge of workplace hazards and applicable safety precautions.
