Job Overview

Salary and Benefits
The estimated annual salary for this position is $62,000 - $70,000, depending on experience. MUSC offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as retirement savings options and paid time off.

Job Responsibilities
As a Certified Surgical Tech I, you will be responsible for preparing sterile supplies and equipment for surgical procedures, maintaining a clean and safe operating room environment, and working closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and nurses to ensure seamless patient care. Your duties will include:
• Preparing and sterilizing equipment and supplies
• Maintaining a clean and organized operating room environment
• Assisting with surgical procedures as needed
• Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure effective patient care
• Participating in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date with best practices and technologies

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Graduation from an accredited school of surgical technology or military program
• Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 2 weeks of hire
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and move quickly in response to emergencies
