Position Overview:

The role involves assisting skilled maintenance personnel by undertaking specific or general tasks that require lesser expertise. Responsibilities include supplying workers with necessary materials and tools, maintaining cleanliness in workspaces, aiding experienced workers by holding materials or tools, and executing other basic tasks as directed by skilled tradespeople. The scope of work varies by trade; in some cases, the assistant may focus on supplying, lifting, and cleaning, while in others, they may engage in specialized machine operations. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: CFC Universal Refrigerant Class A certification
  • Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: One (1) year of verifiable experience in the HVAC field or relevant vocational training
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Possession of a valid state driver's license
  • Must wear safety footwear that complies with ASTM F standards
  • Must meet eligibility criteria for security clearance.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent walking and standing
  • Climbing heights of up to 35 feet
  • Frequent stooping and bending
  • Occasional crawling
  • Lifting capability of up to 50 lbs
  • Personal Protective Equipment is mandatory.
