About the Role:

As a Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant with SouthernCare New Beacon, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care to patients and their families. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, ambulation, and light housekeeping tasks. You will also be responsible for reporting any changes in the patient's condition or home situation to the Registered Nurse and members of the interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist patients with maintaining good personal hygiene
Help patients with ambulation and safe use of walkers or wheelchairs
Prepare and serve light meals
Assist with feeding patients when needed
Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as emptying trash and changing linens
Report any changes in the patient's condition or home situation to the Registered Nurse and members of the interdisciplinary team

Requirements:

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
Six (6) months of patient care experience in hospice, home health, ICU, geriatric, or oncology
Current drivers license and automobile insurance
Current CPR certification
