Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for clients and staff while performing general security tasks.
  • Engage with a diverse range of individuals including clients, visitors, and employees.
  • Adhere to specific post instructions as outlined by the client.

Essential Duties:

  • Maintain visibility to ensure safety and deter inappropriate behavior.
  • Remain at your post until properly relieved.
  • Understand and comply with DSI and client protocols.
  • Familiarize yourself with DSI’s Code of Ethics and Employee Standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and become acquainted with safety procedures as outlined in DSI’s safety manual.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor through appearance and conduct.

Position Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver’s license is preferred.
  • Possession of a valid SLED License is preferred.
  • Reliable transportation and communication methods are necessary.
  • Successful completion of background and drug screenings is required.
  • Customer service orientation is essential.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills are necessary.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Ability to perform routine foot patrols and engage in moderate lifting.
