About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Old Southwest Health and Rehabilitation. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing direct resident care and promoting a supportive environment for our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Provide daily personal care to residents, including grooming, bathing, dressing, and oral care.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and comfortable environment for residents, including changing bed linen and ensuring adequate grooming supplies.
  • Documentation: Record resident vital signs, weights, and measurements, as well as intake and output, food consumption, and other relevant information.
  • Observation: Observe residents carefully and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff.
  • Hydration: Ensure residents receive adequate hydration at regular intervals throughout the day.
  • Infection Control: Assist nursing staff with aseptic and sterile techniques to prevent infection and contamination.
  • Other Duties: Perform other special projects and duties as assigned by nursing staff.
Requirements
  • Certification: Current Nursing Assistant certification from the state.
  • CPR Certification: Current/active CPR certification, preferred.
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds or more, with physical work being a primary part of the job.
  • Work Schedule: Flexible hours, including days, nights, and weekends, with the option to work full-time or part-time.
