Core ResponsibilitiesAs a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Administering anesthetic care to facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures.
- Conducting thorough pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluations of patients.
- Developing and implementing tailored anesthetic care plans, including monitoring strategies and post-anesthesia evaluations.
- Selecting, obtaining, and administering anesthetic agents throughout the procedure.
- Recognizing and responding to changes in physiological responses during surgery and anesthesia, and notifying the attending physician as necessary.
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following licensure and educational requirements:
- Nurse Anesthetist credential from the Michigan Board of Nursing, obtained prior to hire.
- Registered Nurse credential from the Michigan Board of Nursing, obtained prior to hire.
- BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), obtained prior to hire.
- Nurse Anesthetist certification from the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA), obtained prior to hire.
Education requirements include:
- A Master's or Doctorate in Nursing Anesthesia Practice or Nursing Practice.
There are no additional preferences for this role.
