Fresenius Medical Care North America is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Home Therapies team. As a Home Therapies Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and education to patients undergoing home dialysis treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage patients' response to home dialysis training and treatment therapy
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide education and training to patients and their families on home dialysis equipment and treatment procedures
- Monitor and document patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes and facility operations
- Current RN licensure in the state of employment
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in nephrology nursing
- Home dialysis therapy experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The Home Therapies Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, providing care to patients in their homes. The position requires frequent travel to patient homes, as well as occasional travel to training sites and other facilities. The nurse must be able to lift and move equipment and patients as needed, and must be able to work in a variety of environments, including patient homes and healthcare facilities.
SupervisionThe Home Therapies Registered Nurse will report to a designated supervisor and will be responsible for supervising LPNs/LVNs, Patient Care Technicians, and Home Therapy Care Team Assistants as assigned.
