Position Overview

The Travel Nurse RN role involves delivering exceptional patient care while traveling to various healthcare facilities. This position requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of nursing practice and patient advocacy.

Certification Requirements
  • Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, NRP, EMF/AWHONN, and STABLE (all certifications must be from the American Heart Association; RQI is not accepted).
Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and manage patient care plans, including administering medications and conducting clinical treatments.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Monitor and document patient conditions, ensuring effective communication with the care team, physicians, patients, and their families.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, nutrition, and mobility.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care, including transfers, discharges, and referrals.
  • Assess educational needs of patients and families, providing tailored education based on age, culture, and medical conditions.
  • Act as an advocate for the emotional and physical health of patients.
  • Participate in surgical procedures, including assisting during C-sections and monitoring neonates post-delivery.
  • Adhere to established protocols for the recovery and care of surgical patients.
  • Attend fetal monitoring certification classes biennially.
  • Complete S T A B L E certification if NRP certified.
  • Effectively communicate essential information to physicians and patients.
Job Requirements
  • Active WY RN license required, must be included with application materials.
  • Experience in RN Nursery and Labor & Delivery is essential.
