Fowl Catcher and Cage Attendant

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Fowl Catcher and Cage Attendant at Peco Foods. This is a full-time position that requires standing and walking for 100% of the workday.

About the Role

• ">
• Catch and pick up live chickens by the wings and load them into steel cages.">
• Comply with written company policies, maintaining the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with company GMP and biosecurity policies.">
• Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their immediate supervisor or live management official.">
• Abnormal situations include unauthorized employees in restricted areas and any activity that goes against the Peco animal welfare policy.">

Vaccination Support

In addition to catching and loading chickens, this role also involves presenting live chickens to the vaccinator for vaccination, administering vaccinations in appropriate locations in accordance with Peco policy, and complying with written company policies to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.

Physical Demands

• ">
• Standing/walking 100% of the workday.">
• Lifting live birds weighing between 4.0-7.0 pounds on average.">
• Working in a dusty/warm environment inside the chicken houses.">
• Performing repetitive motions.">
• Ability to work in a mostly outdoor environment.">

Compensation and Benefits
