Yard Jockey

We are seeking a highly skilled Yard Jockey to join our team at Refresco. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of trailers and containers within our yard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a valid Class A Driver's License and move empty and full trailers in the yard as required to fulfill production schedules.
• Keep a running log of dock doors and trailers, reporting final trailer status at the end of each shift.
• Monitor work and requirements in terms of quality, quantity, and safety.
• Coordinate warehouse staff to meet production schedules and objectives.
• Accurately and timely report work in process and complete all relevant paperwork, BOLs, and management reporting.
• Identify and report needed maintenance of equipment and machinery necessary to meet department requirements in an efficient and safe manner.
• Support the operation by working overtime as needed to maintain production in accordance with the Union contract.
• Use SAP to provide data for shipping and receiving functions.
• Communicate via email with Supervisors, Coordinators, Production, Maintenance, and Management as needed and required.
