The Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Missouri School of Medicine & MU Health Care is seeking a qualified anesthesiologist with expertise in pain management. The successful candidate should possess certification from the American Board of Anesthesiology and demonstrate a proven ability to establish a successful chronic pain practice.
As a chronic pain specialist, the primary responsibilities will include clinical work focused on patient acquisition and procedural interventions. There will also be opportunities to collaborate with advanced practice providers to enhance clinic operations. Furthermore, the selected candidate will play a vital role in educating resident physicians in anesthesiology, particularly in the area of chronic pain management. While occasional anesthesia coverage may be required, it should not hinder the development and sustainability of a thriving chronic pain practice.
Qualifications
- MD/DO degree
- Certification from the American Board of Anesthesiology
- Eligibility for a medical license in Missouri
- Experience in Anesthesiology is preferred for this role.
