Job Title: Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team at a top-rated hospital in Bakersfield, California.

Job Summary:

This is a 13-week contract position with a 36-hour workweek, requiring 12-hour shifts, nights. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery and a current RN license issued by the California State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to patients in Labor and Delivery, including postpartum and infant care.
  • Assist physicians in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
  • Administer medication and monitor physiological data.
  • Deliver patient care competently and interact with family and patient in sharing care plans.
  • Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery.
  • Current RN license issued by the California State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
  • Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association.
  • ACLS (American Heart Association).
