Job Overview:

We're seeking an experienced DevOps Software Engineer to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a back-end developer, you'll work with our development team to create custom tools, systems, and sites with consistent performance and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable and efficient systems using the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks and tools.
  • Collaborate with the development team to create custom tools, systems, and sites.
  • Work with infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and automation tools, including Puppet, SaltStack, and Ansible.
  • Develop and maintain system monitoring tools, including Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker, and container orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes.

Requirements:

  • Experience with writing scripts using Bash and Python.
  • Experience with UNIX command line.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with developing test plans.
  • Experience with researching, evaluating, and deploying technologies in a Kubernetes environment.
  • Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite, including JIRA or Confluence.
  • Experience with using Git for version control.
  • Experience with using Gitlab CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and applications.

Compensation:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193, annualized USD. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
