Commercial Credit Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Credit Analyst to join our team at Advia Credit Union. As a Commercial Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for evaluating the financial statements and condition of commercial loan members applying for credit.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate financial statements and creditworthiness of commercial loan members
- Analyze complex financial data to determine credit risk
- Develop and maintain credit analysis software
- Collaborate with commercial lenders to underwrite commercial client requests
- Assess collateral offered and ensure compliance with internal policy guidelines and regulation standards
- Review and ensure commercial loan policy compliance throughout the lending process
- Work closely with commercial lenders to establish and define credit requirements and risk mitigation
- Assist in training and sharing knowledge with Commercial Credit Analyst I team members
- Establish and maintain effective communication, coordination, and working relations with Credit Union personnel and management
- Three to five years of Commercial Credit Analysis Experience
- Minimum of three years of Commercial Lending experience
- Knowledge of Credit Union lending and collections programs, policies, and procedures
- Understanding of financial analysis and determination of credit worthiness
- Clear understanding of general accounting principles and business, finance, and economics
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of multiple balance sheets and corporate entities with the ability to interpret all forms of financial data and instruments
- Strong analytical abilities
- Sageworks credit analysis software experience preferred
- SBA experience preferred
A college degree is required.
Interpersonal SkillsA significant level of trust, credibility, and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations, and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports, and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature.
Physical RequirementsPerform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situations. Must be able to operate routine office equipment, including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on a computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
Working ConditionsMust be able to routinely perform work indoors in a climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
Mental and/or Emotional RequirementsMust be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines/requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
