Job Summary:

The Flight Operations Intern will assist the Flight Training Advisors and Fleet Administrator with their day-to-day responsibilities, including pilot record keeping, flight operations scheduling, invoicing and billing, and assisting with fleet coordination. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop skills in safety management, flight planning and preparation, complex problem solving, and recommending process improvements.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with pilot record keeping and flight operations scheduling
  • Support the Fleet Administrator with invoicing and billing
  • Assist with fleet coordination and management
  • Develop skills in safety management, flight planning and preparation, and complex problem solving
  • Recommend process improvements and contribute to the success of the team
Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a college degree or recent graduate of an aviation or professional pilot program
  • Current and active FAA Commercial Pilot with Instrument Rating
  • Current 1st or 2nd Class FAA Medical
  • 200 hours acting as Pilot in Command
Preferred Qualifications:
  • IFR in congested airspace, mountain flying, extensive IMC, international flight, and night experience
  • Hold current and active Certified Flight Instructor-Instrument Rating
  • Current student studying at an associated University Fleet School
Competencies:
  • Proven record of successful flight instruction commensurate with experience
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Courseware development experience is preferred
  • Presentation skills
  • Professional appearance
