Key Responsibilities- Provide Patient Care: The Perinatal Nurse Specialist will assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Develop and Implement Policies: Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
- Participate in Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Provide Education and Training: Educate patients, families, and healthcare staff on various topics related to maternal and child health.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required.
- Experience: 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: RN license in the state of employment or compact, BLS certification, and current certification from NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or AWHONN courses.
