Salary


The estimated annual salary for this position is $95,000, based on a 40-hour workweek with an 8-hour shift and tax-free stipend amount to be determined.



Job Description


We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to provide speech therapy services to pediatric patients to older adults based on diagnosed conditions for a 13-week contract assignment in Santa Rosa, California. The ideal candidate will possess phenomenal efficiency and attention to detail with a strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety.



Required Skills & Qualifications


Our ideal candidate will have:



  • Proven experience as a Speech Therapist
  • Graduate of a master's level program in Speech Therapy which is accredited by Education Standards Board or whose practice meets ASHA certification requirements
  • Must possess independent decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients, and families

Responsibilities


As a Speech Therapist with Focus Staff, your responsibilities will include:



  • Playing an important part in helping patients to recover and feel better about themselves by providing therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities
  • Communicating patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; assisting with patient scheduling and posting charges daily to patient records
  • Documentation of patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements
  • Handling job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standard, and applicable state/federal laws
