The selected candidate will engage with children in a licensed childcare environment. Educators aged 21 and older will work with infants and toddlers aged 6 weeks to 2 years, while those aged 18 and above will focus on pre-K children aged 3 to 5 years. Classroom environments are designed to foster children's learning and address their needs within the childcare setting.
Teachers will receive a daily, weekly, or specialized curriculum to implement in their assigned classrooms. Responsibilities include assisting with preschool-level homework, facilitating crafts, and promoting positive social interactions among children. Countryside Child Care Center is recognized as a Level Three Paths to Quality facility and adheres to the Indiana Academic Foundations for children's curriculum.
Classroom educators are accountable for ensuring that children are always within sight and sound, while modeling positive behavior. It is essential that classrooms reflect a respectful and welcoming atmosphere, providing a nurturing environment for children to learn and develop. Educators will be equipped with effective educational activities to engage with the children.
Maintaining cleanliness is a critical aspect of this role. Teachers are responsible for their designated classrooms, ensuring they remain tidy throughout the day by picking up toys, sanitizing surfaces, and keeping classroom items clean.
For the safety of children, colleagues, and families, educators must adhere to all health and sanitation protocols while working with the children.
This position involves both classroom instruction and one-on-one interaction with children.
