We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Newborn Nursery team at LewisGale Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care, coordinate unit activities, and work closely with the clinical team to create and implement a care plan that meets each patient's needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Newborn Nursery, including administering medications, changing dressings, and monitoring vital signs.
- Coordinate unit activities, including patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Work closely with the clinical team to create and implement a care plan that meets each patient's needs.
- Instruct and educate patients and family members on care and treatment plans.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
- Licensed, as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia through the Board of Health Professions.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 12 months of start date.
- Previous Mother Baby/Newborn Nursery or related RN experience preferred.
