Albany Medical Center is seeking a skilled ICU Nurse to join our team on a night shift basis.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate ICU Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our 17-bed cardiac critical care unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in critical care and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement physician orders and administer medications as required
  • Start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests
  • Document treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations
  • Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered
  • Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients
  • Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in the state of New York
  • Experience in critical care, preferably in a cardiac critical care unit
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
