Raleigh General Hospital is seeking a skilled RN Charge Nurse to join our Medical-Surgical and Cardiac Cath Lab team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to medical, surgical, telemetry, and oncology patients, including assessment, problem identification, and pre-operative care.
- Initiate lifesaving procedures and provide emergency care for each patient, as well as palliative care to terminal patients.
- Perform assessment skills, plan nursing care, and document patient progress.
- Intervene with appropriate action after needs are identified and evaluate the assessment, planning, and intervention process.
- Deliver direct patient care appropriate to the age of patient served, including adult and geriatric patients.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a Program in Discipline - Required
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 days
- Current licensure by the WV State Board of Nursing
- Minimum of 1 year nursing experience, with relief charge experience preferred.
