Job Summary

CoxHealth is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech-Language Pathologist at CoxHealth, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, treating, and helping to prevent speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with speech and language disorders, including stuttering, delayed language, swallowing disorders, and social communication disorders.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' communication skills and develop individualized treatment plans to address their needs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and physical therapists, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and techniques.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology and apply this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech Pathology/Communicative Disorders and Sciences.
  • Active license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Missouri.
  • Board Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) or Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
  • One year of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting, preferred.
