Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Authorization Specialist to join our team at Monmouth Cardiology Associates, LLC. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless communication between patients, physicians, and insurance companies.

Job Responsibilities
  • Obtain pre-authorizations for tests/procedures from insurance companies
  • Coordinate with health insurance representatives, patients, and MCA physicians/staff to gather necessary information
  • Monitor testing schedules and task workflow reports to identify referrals requiring authorizations
  • Verify patient insurance and demographic information using available resources
  • Maintain accurate records and files documentation
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and respond to inquiries regarding their health plan benefits
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in pre-authorization roles
  • Strong medical terminology skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, typing, and organizational abilities
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
Benefits
