Position Overview

The primary role of the Sales Associate is to support our mission: "To deliver the most enjoyable shopping experience for our customers." Sales Associates engage in various sales, merchandising, and operational tasks as directed by Store Management, including cashier duties, merchandise presentation, and maintaining store cleanliness.

Sales and Customer Engagement
  • Welcome customers with a warm, inviting demeanor, consistently ready to provide exceptional service.
  • Respond to inquiries about the store and its products.
  • Advise, select, and assist in locating or acquiring merchandise based on customer preferences.
  • Anticipate customer needs by suggesting complementary items and enhancing their shopping experience.
  • Showcase products using product knowledge and sales training, sharing insights with the team.
  • Stay informed about current promotions, payment policies, and security measures.
  • Maintain personal sales metrics while seeking opportunities to enhance team presentations.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals established by Store Management.
  • Deliver outstanding service across key areas: sales floor, fitting rooms, and checkout.
  • Assist customers with trying on or fitting merchandise.
  • Process transactions and package purchases.
  • Prepare items for alterations.
  • Understand and communicate exchange and return policies effectively.
  • Utilize the Sales Presentation Guide (SPG) daily to achieve objectives.
  • Engage in customer loyalty initiatives, including fit appointments and store credit programs.
  • Facilitate special orders or coordinate with other locations to find desired products.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to foster a client-focused business.
  • Develop and uphold knowledge of customer service standards to meet every customer's needs.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities and uphold high standards, regardless of managerial presence.
Recruitment, Training, and Development
  • Identify recruitment opportunities through various channels.
  • Establish connections through customer loyalty programs.
  • Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor to foster a positive store environment.
Visual Merchandising
  • Display merchandise in a way that maximizes sales potential and inventory turnover.
  • Stay updated on product offerings.
  • Collaborate with team members and customers to identify product enhancements and feedback.
  • Ensure the sales floor is well-organized and new stock is displayed appropriately.
Operational Duties
  • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Handle cash register operations, including cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Monitor for security risks and theft, knowing how to address these situations.
  • Adhere to Loss Prevention protocols, including routine checks.
  • Understand and implement Point of Sale (POS) procedures.
  • Follow all policies regarding payments, exchanges, and Loss Prevention practices.
  • Perform merchandising tasks, including inventory handling and display preparation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environment.
  • Provide feedback to management regarding merchandise handling issues.
  • Communicate any policy violations or concerns promptly and confidentially.
  • Uphold the company's Code of Ethics and all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to a positive team atmosphere while delivering high-quality customer service.
  • Engage in special projects and other assigned duties.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

No prior experience or training is required.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands outlined here represent those that must be met by an Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

While performing the duties of this position, the Associate is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands for various tasks, reach, climb, and communicate effectively. The Associate may occasionally need to sit. Physical ability to lift and move 30 lbs throughout the store is necessary. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this position, the Associate typically works in a retail setting with a moderate noise level.
