Store Director

As a Store Director at Macy's, you will lead a team of People Leaders and Hourly Colleagues to drive customer experience, sales, and operational processes. You will analyze store business, strategize, and implement action plans to improve results. Your responsibilities will include leading customer service culture, reviewing sales and customer experience results, and driving customer experience KPIs. You will also develop People Leader and Hourly Colleague talent, conduct talent analysis, and establish career progression plans. Additionally, you will participate in the recruitment process, fill open executive positions, and interview, hire, train, and direct direct and indirect reports.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of People Leaders and Hourly Colleagues to drive customer experience, sales, and operational processes.
- Analyze store business, strategize, and implement action plans to improve results.
- Lead customer service culture, ensuring Colleagues engage with customers and provide a friendly and easy to shop environment.
- Review sales and customer experience results, and strategize action for continued improvement.
- Drive customer experience KPIs, such as Omni Customer Experience score and Omni demand metrics.
- Develop People Leader and Hourly Colleague talent, conduct talent analysis, and establish career progression plans.
- Participate in the recruitment process, fill open executive positions, and interview, hire, train, and direct direct and indirect reports.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years retail management experience with experience developing leaders in a department or specialty store.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to draft reports and other communications, effectively present to management and internal and external business partners, and interpret instructional documents.
- Basic math functions, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Exchange.
- Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, self-motivated, and excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, highly organized, and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and use hands to finger, handle, and feel.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., climb ladders, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- Requires close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
