Community Mental Health Outreach Worker

Join our team as a Prevention Specialist and help us promote mental health and wellness in your community As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with schools and community organizations to develop and implement prevention strategies that support the mental health needs of students and families.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team of professionals who share your passion for mental health. As a Prevention Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing evidence-based prevention services and curricula, training students and school faculty on mental health awareness, and participating in ongoing professional development training.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with consultants, school districts, and community service providers to facilitate training, workshops, webinars, assemblies, and other educational programs.
- Implement evidence-based prevention services and curricula with fidelity to students, faculty, and families.
- Participate in all Department of Children and Families NJ4S related trainings and meetings.
- Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services-related field required.
- At least three years' experience working in a non-profit social service environment in development or implementation of community-based services, prevention programs, or any other human service programs.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
