Civil Litigation Paralegal

A highly respected law firm, such as GPAC, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their team.
The ideal candidate should have a solid background in litigation, be able to handle tasks from multiple attorneys, and demonstrate initiative while working independently. Attention to detail is crucial as the role involves providing support to attorneys throughout all stages of litigation.
Key responsibilities of the Litigation Paralegal:
- Assisting litigation lawyers in various legal proceedings.
- Managing the discovery process, including document collection, retention, and production, as well as assisting in drafting responses to discovery requests.
- Creating essential legal documents, such as settlement agreements, document retention notices, and response letters.
- Aiding in pre-trial preparations by drafting trial documents and preparing exhibits.
- Prioritizing and completing tasks efficiently and on time.
- Having experience in the oil and gas industry is a plus.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- At least 7 years of experience in civil litigation, with skills in organizing extensive caseloads, discovery, and trial readiness.
- Exposure to commercial and business litigation is preferred.
- Proficiency in office management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with trial presentation software.
