Network Systems Engineer for High Performance IT Solutions

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Management: Design, implement, and manage complex servers, virtual machines, domain controllers, network infrastructure for various clients including data storage, backup, and disaster recovery protocols.
  • System Administration: Regular oversight on the installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems, exceptional knowledge of Windows 10/11, MacOS, desktops, servers, WS Server 2016, 2019, 2022, applications, Office 365, Azure, MS Entra ID, and Active Directory.
  • Security: Implement best practices for network and systems security, including working knowledge of Cloud services, firewalls, Hyper-V, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor network performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Client Support: Provide technical support, including escalated tickets from Tier 1 and 2 teams, guidance to clients, ensuring prompt resolution of issues, including some break/fix issues, and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.
  • Lead Technical Projects: Infrastructure upgrades, migrations, new client onboarding, and software implementation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Network and Systems Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong working knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching.
  • Relevant experience with network security practices and tools.
  • Proficiency in system administration, including Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Proficiency with virtualization technologies, e.g., VMware, Hyper-V.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with strong time management skills and operate as part of a team.
