Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Automated Equipment Technician to join our Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining material handling equipment, ensuring minimal system downtime, and promoting innovation in operations.

In this role, you will use your technical expertise to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more. You will also maintain a positive working relationship across all of the Amazon Operations facility and track and store department inventory.

To succeed in this position, you must have 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures, repairing material handling equipment (MHE), automated conveyor systems, or related mechanical/controls equipment, reading blueprints and electrical schematics, and demonstrating safety standards. Additionally, you should be able to troubleshoot basic input and output function of building operations and work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities:
  • Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
  • Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
  • Maintain a positive working relationship across all of the Amazon Operations facility.
  • Track and store department inventory.
